It is all about me. My car. My kids. My church. My vision. My job. My walk with God. My world evolves around three different people. Me, myself, and I. If you think otherwise just look at the photos on my phone.
Our daily life can be so filled with ourself. But should it be that way? Is it suppose to be that way?
Take a look at what the Bible says"
Hebrews 12:1-2 "Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin which does so easily entangle us and let us run with patience the race set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."
When reading this passage, you will notice that there are three words that are strangely absent from the text. (Me, Myself, and I) And there are three words that jump right off of the page. (We, Our, and Us). These powerful words are sprinkled all throughout this passage that describes how to run our one and only race called life.
So maybe it is not about you. Maybe it is not about me. Maybe it is really about us. Let US lay aside every weight and sin. Let US run with patience the race set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author of finisher of who's faith? Your faith? My faith? No...OUR faith.
A great thing to remember as we run the race of our lives, is that, no matter what IT is. IT is not about you.
Just something to think about.
